Homestay Placement
Harmony Homestay has a diverse database of homestay families to be able to provide a variety of options when choosing a homestay family. We work to provide the best possible match for each placement. The more information we have at the outset, the faster and more accurate the matching will be. Our homestay families are located throughout the lower mainland and can accommodate any length of stay.
Our Homestay placement fee is $200 per student. Group rates are available upon request. Payment is required to begin the matching process.
Custodianship Travel Services
Immigration Canada requires that all applicants under the age of 18 years who will apply for a study permit have a legal custodian to act in place of a parent in times of emergency, such as when medical attention is required. Applicants must provide proof in the form of notarized declarations; one signed by the parent or legal guardian in the country of and one signed by the custodian in Canada.
What does Harmony Homestay custodian services look like?
Our custodians meet with the student at least once per month and will work with the student and families to determine the educational and extracurricular needs of the students. We maintain a close relationship with the student to ensure a good transition to Canada, their school and homestay family. We evaluate and discuss with the family if any additional resources should be co-ordinated, activities such as tutoring, sports, music etc. The custodian is a liaison between all people involved in the student’s life in Canada including teachers, host family and their family in their home country.
Custodian services for students age 14 and under are $150 per month and for age 15 and over are $100 per month.

Airport transportation is also available: $80 pick up and orientation, $50 drop off

Policies:
All fees are quoted in Canadian funds. Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer, Bank Draft, International Money Order or Paypal. Please note services will not commence until payment is received in full.

Homestay Fees:
75% refund – cancellation 30 days or more before arrival.
50% refund – cancellation 14-29 days before arrival
No refund – cancellation less than 14 days before arrival.
